What are the requirements of the energy storage system?

The energy storage system (ESS) is defined by the amount of energy and power it can store (MWh and MW).

BANNER-1

The ESS installed on the new energy power generation side can operate in the following modes, independent of each other, and may not be multifunctional.

Power change rate limit. According to the real-time vehicle wind farm output power, the power change is limited to the specified range. When the wind power output power rises sharply, the ESS starts charging; Discharge when the output power drops sharply. This is to meet the demand of the power grid for a certain power change rate. In this mode, the ESS should be installed close to the wind power plant.

Support for grid power change. The ESS charges and discharges according to the dispatching instructions of the power grid, and makes other adjustments to the power grid. In this mode, ESS does not target a wind farm. Therefore, ESS does not need to be installed near the wind power plant.
