What are the components of the energy storage system?

Battery energy storage system (BESS) is an energy storage device that uses batteries as its basic storage technology. Bidirectional inverters are the main equipment for converting power between AC line voltage and DC battery terminals, and allow power to flow in both directions to charge and discharge batteries. Other components of the BESS may include isolation transformers, protective devices (such as circuit breakers), cooling systems, and advanced control systems to coordinate the operation of all components in the system.

Key components include bidirectional inverter, battery, transformer, protection device, cooling system and advanced control system.
