The role of a polarizer in a display

Main component

Polarizer is an indispensable component in the display, which is mainly used to control the polarization direction of light, so as to achieve image display. In a liquid crystal display (LCD), the polarizer is usually divided into two layers, located on either side of the liquid crystal layer. Its core functions include:

The initial polarization of light
The light emitted by the backlight is unpolarized, and the polarizer filters these rays into polarized light in a single direction, laying the foundation for light modulation in the liquid crystal layer.

Collaborative imaging with liquid crystal molecules
Liquid crystal molecules rotate in response to an applied voltage, changing the direction of the polarized light. When the light passes through the second layer of polarizer, the regulation of the liquid crystal determines whether the light passes through or is blocked, thus forming light and dark changes, and finally composing the image.

Improve contrast and color performance
The polarizer's precise control of light improves the contrast of the display, ensuring accurate color reproduction on the screen and a clear and sharp picture.

The polarizing material commonly used in modern displays is made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film, which is dyed and stretched to make it have good polarization properties. In addition, some high-end displays will use special polarizing technology, such as anti-reflection polarizers or wide-angle polarizers, to improve the display. In general, the polarizer is one of the core components of liquid crystal display technology, which supports the continuous evolution of the display from monochrome to full color, and from ordinary screens to high-resolution screens.

DC CHARGING PIlE SERIES

DC charging pile is an efficient charging facility for electric vehicles, which uses direct current (DC) to directly charge the vehicle battery, significantly reducing the charging time. Compared with traditional AC charging piles, DC charging piles are able to provide higher power output and can usually charge an EV to 80% of its capacity in 30 minutes, providing users with a convenient charging experience.
