Working principle

The commonly used temperature sensors for DC charging piles include Thermocouple, Thermistor, PT1000 thermal resistance and infrared temperature sensor. Here's how several common temperature sensors work:

NTC thermistor (negative temperature coefficient thermistor) : The resistance value of the NTC temperature sensor decreases as the temperature increases. It is usually made of ceramic material and has excellent temperature sensitivity. When the temperature of the sensor changes, its resistance changes accordingly, and this change can be monitored in real time through the external circuit, thus reflecting the current temperature state.

PT1000 Thermal resistor: PT1000 is a platinum resistance temperature sensor whose resistance value varies with temperature. In the charging pile, the PT1000 sensor can monitor the temperature at a specific point and determine the temperature by measuring the change in the resistance value.

Digital temperature sensor: The temperature sensing principle of digital temperature sensor is based on the characteristic relationship between CMOS semiconductor PN node temperature and bandgap voltage, after small signal amplification, analog-to-digital conversion, digital calibration compensation, through the digital bus output. The sensor has the advantages of high precision, low power consumption, good consistency, fast temperature measurement, flexible programmable configuration and long service life.
