Working Principle:
1. Oscillator OSC working principle:
An oscillator usually consists of a resistor and a capacitor, through which the capacitor is charged and discharged in a sawtooth wave.
- The frequency of the sawtooth wave can be set by adjusting the value of the resistance and capacitance, which is the base frequency of the PWM signal.
- The sawtooth wave generated by the oscillator is fed into the comparator and compared with a fixed reference voltage, thus producing a square wave signal, i.e. a PWM signal.
2. PWM working principle:
The PWM signal is controlled by the square wave signal generated by the oscillator and the output signal of the error amplifier.
- The error amplifier compares the feedback voltage with the set reference voltage to produce an error signal.
- This error signal is compared with the sawtooth wave generated by the oscillator, when the error signal is higher than the sawtooth wave, the PWM signal is high and the MOS tube is on; When the error signal is lower than the sawtooth wave, the PWM signal is low and the MOS tube is cut off.
- By adjusting the duty cycle of the PWM signal, the on-time of the MOS tube can be controlled, and then the output voltage can be adjusted to achieve stable output.
