The component of the display chip

It is used to control the display content and format of the display screen, so that users can clearly understand the running status and charging data of the charging pile.

Main component

The timing controller is responsible for processing the RGB data sent by the master control chip and sending it to DDIC (Source driver/Gate driver) after frame, color correction and brightness processing. TCON plays a role in brightness (HDR), color, refresh rate, power, and more.

The main function is to charge the LCD capacitor and storage capacitor on the LCD screen to the required grayscale voltage when the Gate Driver turns on the thin film transistors of the LCD screen line by line.

Responsible for controlling the row selection on the LCD to ensure that the correct pixels are activated and displayed.

Stores image data to be displayed. For the powerful master control, you can connect the DDR, build a framebuffer in the DDR, put the image in it, and then send it to the LCD display. For MCU, there is no external DDR, memory is small, and images are placed in the GRAM of LCM.

LCD displays integrated with MIPI interfaces can communicate directly with the processors of mobile devices, greatly reducing the complexity of external circuits and the power consumption of the system. The MIPI DSI protocol is used to transmit compressed or uncompressed video data streams.

Low voltage differential signal (LVDS) is an interface standard for high-speed serial communication, which is favored in LCD display technology for its high speed, low power consumption and high noise tolerance.
