The card reader plays a crucial role in the communication billing module of the DC charging pile, which is composed of several sophisticated components to ensure the smooth charging process and the accuracy of billing.

Main component

This module is the heart of the card reader, capable of identifying and reading information from contactless IC cards. Operating at a frequency of 13.56MHz, it supports the ISO14443 A protocol and can exchange data at various rates, from 106Kbps to 848 Kbps, ensuring efficient information transfer.

The built-in coil antenna of the card reader is crucial for communication with contactless cards. This design not only simplifies the installation process but also ensures a neat appearance of the device, eliminating the need for additional antenna accessories.

Security is at the core of the card reader's design. The ESAM/PSAM card slot is used for secure access and encryption operations, ensuring the security of transactions and the confidentiality of data, with SAM1 typically soldered by default to provide an additional layer of security.

Signal indicator lights and a buzzer provide intuitive feedback to users. The indicator lights display the working status of the card reader, while the buzzer emits an audible signal upon successful or failed card reading, enhancing user interaction.

The card reader connects to the outside world through power and communication interfaces. They not only supply the necessary power to the card reader but also communicate data with the main control unit of the charging pile through an RS-232 communication interface, ensuring accurate information transfer.
