The communication interface component of the DC charging pile meter refers to the interface used in the meter for data communication with external devices (such as the charging pile master control and the battery management system of electric vehicles). These interfaces support a variety of communication protocols, such as RS485 communication interface, and can support Modbus-RTU protocol and DL/T645-2007 protocol, to achieve data exchange with the charging pile management system.

Function:

The main function of the communication interface component is to realize the data exchange between the meter and the charging pile management system, including the power data, charging status, fault information, etc., so as to achieve remote monitoring and management. In addition, it supports communication with the EV battery management system to dynamically adjust charging parameters and perform corresponding actions to complete the charging process.

Working Principle:

The communication interface component of DC charging pile meter collects the electric energy data through the voltage and current sampling circuit, and then the special electric energy metering chip processes the data, outputs the electric energy pulse signal, and displays the electric energy by the LCD. At the same time, through the RS485 interface to achieve remote transcription of the table of electrical energy and other data. Inside the charging pile, the multi-functional smart meter sends the electricity data to the charging control unit through the RS485 interface, and the charging control unit checks the user information, measures, deducts charges, prints bills and other functions. In addition, the main control unit informs the charger to start or end charging via CAN communication.
