Safe spacing

Safety spacing is one of the key factors that must be considered during the installation and use of tower backup energy storage batteries, aiming to ensure the safety and convenience of equipment operation, while reducing the risk of accidents.

Safe spacing

Reasonable safety spacing can effectively ensure the safe operation of the energy storage battery, and facilitate daily operation and maintenance. By ensuring proper separation from walls, electrical equipment, pedestrian areas, and flammable materials, risks can be minimized and safe conditions created for long-term stable operation of the system.

Specific content

Spacing from walls and equipment

In order to facilitate ventilation, heat dissipation and daily maintenance, the energy storage battery should be kept at a sufficient distance from the wall and other devices.
Recommended distance: The recommended distance between the battery and the wall, cabinet, or other devices is at least 0.5 m.
Ventilation channel: Ensure that the reserved distance can form an effective air circulation channel to avoid heat dissipation and overheating of the device.

Distance from power equipment

The energy storage battery should be properly spaced from power equipment such as high-voltage equipment and power switches to prevent electrical interference or accidental shock risk.
Protection requirements: If the battery is close to a high-voltage device, it is recommended to install an isolation barrier or use a protection device that complies with electrical regulations.
Electromagnetic interference: Avoid battery too close to strong electromagnetic equipment, usually maintain a safe distance of at least 10 meters.

Distance from the flow area

In order to ensure the safety of personnel, the installation of energy storage batteries should be far away from areas with high passenger flow, and clear warning signs should be set up around the equipment.
Limit contact: It is recommended that non-professionals should not approach the battery area and be isolated through security fences or access control systems.
Emergency access: Reserve enough space for emergency evacuation access for quick action in case of emergency.

Fire spacing

Storage batteries must be kept away from flammable materials, chemicals, or other facilities with high fire risk to reduce fire hazards.
Recommended distance: The distance between the battery and the fuel should not be less than 3 meters, and a firewall can be installed if necessary.
Fire fighting facilities: fire fighting equipment such as fire extinguishers and automatic spray systems should be equipped near the battery area to ensure that the fire can be quickly disposed of when it occurs.
