Preliminary seal

The initial seal is a very critical step in the battery assembly process, mainly the first seal of the battery to ensure that the electrolyte inside the battery does not leak, while preparing for the subsequent final seal. Initial sealing usually occurs after the packaging and injection process, in order to prevent the electrolyte volatilization, external pollution and external gas into the battery, to ensure the initial stability of the battery.

Preliminary seal

The preliminary seal ensures the initial airtightness of the battery and the integrity of the electrolyte, which is the basis for the safety and stability of the battery. With precise sealing technology, pressure control and welding processes, the battery can proceed smoothly to subsequent handling and final sealing. Tightness, pressure control and sealing processes are the core elements of the initial seal, and any improper operation can affect the long-term use and safety of the battery.

Basic process

Closed case

After the cell is injected with liquid, it will be temporarily enclosed in the shell. When initially sealed, the shell is usually closed by laser welding, riveting, heat sealing, etc. This process should ensure that the electrolyte inside the cell will not leak, and the shell is completely sealed.

Pressure detection

After the initial seal, the battery is tested for pressure to ensure that there are no loose or incomplete seals in the battery housing. Any place that is not sealed can cause electrolyte leakage or air to enter, affecting battery performance and safety.

External inspection

After the initial seal, the appearance of the battery is strictly checked to ensure that there is no surface damage, deformation, or uneven sealing.

Follow-up treatment

After the initial sealing, the battery will enter the subsequent high-temperature heat treatment, final sealing and other processes. The initial seal ensures a smooth transition of the battery to these subsequent steps, ensuring later sealing and performance stability.
