Negative electrode material

The cathode material is the key component to realize energy storage and release in the tower standby energy storage battery, which directly affects the energy density, working voltage, safety and cycle life of the battery. Different cathode materials have different performance characteristics and are suitable for a variety of application scenarios.

Positive electrode material

The cathode material is the core part of the battery to achieve energy storage, and its performance determines the energy density, safety and life of the battery. Lithium iron phosphate is known for its high safety and long life, suitable for energy storage applications; Ternary materials have a higher energy density and are suitable for high performance scenarios. By selecting the right cathode material according to the demand, the energy storage system can achieve better performance and reliability to meet the application needs of different fields.

Main material type

Lithium iron phosphate (LFP)

Features: High safety, long cycle life and thermal stability.
Advantages: Lithium iron phosphate battery is stable in high temperature environment, higher safety, not easy to occur thermal runaway, suitable for energy storage system.
Application: Widely used in communication base stations, data centers and new energy storage power stations and other fields with high safety and life requirements.

Nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary material (NCM)

Features: High energy density, excellent discharge performance.
Advantages: Terpolymer batteries store more energy in the same volume, which is suitable for scenarios where high energy density is required.
Application: Mainly used in electric vehicles, portable energy storage and other applications requiring high energy output.

Lithium manganate (LMO)

Features: Low cost, good conductivity, high discharge voltage.
Advantages: Lithium manganate materials have high safety and low production costs, but relatively short cycle life.
Application: Suitable for cost sensitive and high voltage requirements of energy storage equipment.

Performance impact

Energy density: The specific capacity of the cathode material and the operating voltage determine the energy density of the battery. High-performance materials enable greater energy storage capacity.
Cycle life: The structural stability of the anode material affects the number of charge and discharge cycles of the battery. Lithium iron phosphate cathode materials can usually achieve thousands of cycles.
Thermal stability: The thermal stability of the cathode material affects the safety of the battery, especially in high temperature environments, lithium iron phosphate has better performance.
Cost and application: Material costs affect the overall price of batteries, and lithium iron phosphate and lithium manganate are more suitable for large-scale energy storage systems.
