Lithium Iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries are lithium batteries that use lithium iron phosphate as a positive electrode material. Due to its superior safety, long life, and excellent thermal stability, they are widely used in a variety of applications, especially in electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage systems, and other applications requiring high safety

The chemical structure of lithium iron phosphate battery has good thermal stability, even in the case of overcharge or short circuit, it is not easy to occur thermal runaway (that is, fire or explosion). This is because lithium iron phosphate materials are structurally stable and will not decompose under high temperatures or extreme conditions like other lithium battery materials.

Lithium iron phosphate batteries have a long cycle life, usually reaching more than 2,000 times (in contrast, the cycle life of lithium cobalt acid batteries is generally 500 to 1,000 times). Lithium iron phosphate does not contain harmful heavy metals (such as cobalt or nickel), so compared to other types of lithium batteries, lithium iron phosphate has an environmental advantage.
