Input protection of charge control chip

The input protection function of the charge control chip is an important part to ensure the safety and stability of the charging process. Here are a few key points about input protection:

Main component

Overvoltage Protection (OVP)

The charge control chip usually integrates an overvoltage protection function to prevent the input voltage from exceeding the safety threshold. When too high an input voltage is detected, the chip automatically cuts off the power supply to protect subsequent circuits from damage.

Undervoltage Protection (UVP)

Equally important, the undervoltage protection function monitors if the input voltage is below a preset value. When the input voltage is too low, the chip will stop charging to prevent overdischarge of the battery or damage to the charging device.

Overcurrent protection (OCP)

The charge control chip also has an overcurrent protection function, when the charging current exceeds the set safe value, the chip will automatically limit the current or cut off the power supply to prevent the device from overheating or causing a fire.

Reverse connection protection

Some charge control chips are designed with the reverse connection protection function at the input end to prevent circuit damage caused by wrong connection. This protection ensures that the chip will work even in the case of a wrong connection.

Temperature monitoring and protection

The charge control chip usually integrates the temperature detection function to monitor the temperature change during the charging process. When the temperature exceeds the safe range, the chip will reduce the charging current or stop charging, ensuring safety.

These input protection functions work together to ensure the safety and reliability of the charge control chip under various operating conditions, thus protecting the safety of the charging device and the battery.

DC CHARGING PIlE SERIES

DC charging pile is an efficient charging facility for electric vehicles, which uses direct current (DC) to directly charge the vehicle battery, significantly reducing the charging time. Compared with traditional AC charging piles, DC charging piles are able to provide higher power output and can usually charge an EV to 80% of its capacity in 30 minutes, providing users with a convenient charging experience.
