How many types of charging posts are there?

There are three main types of EV chargers – fast, fast and slow. Power is measured in kilowatts (kW). Note that these represent the power output and charging speed that can charge the EV.

● slow charge

Slow charging chargers generally provide a charging rate of 2 kW to 3 kW. So you can charge the vehicle when you are at home at night, and you can charge 0 to 100% within 8 to 12 hours.

● Fast charging

Fast charging generally provides a charging rate of 7 kW, which can fully charge the battery from 0 to 100% within 3 to 6 hours. This type of charger is usually installed at home or in a public charging station.

● Fast charging

The fast charger provides a charging rate of 50 kW. Fast charging only takes 30 to 60 minutes to charge the EV battery from 0% to 80%. However, it is necessary to check the compatible charging cable according to the brand, model and manufacturer of EV.
