Discharge test

The discharge test is an important step to verify the performance and reliability of the battery system under different discharge conditions, aiming at simulating the working state of the battery during actual use.

Discharge test

The discharge test evaluates the battery's discharge capacity, dynamic performance and long-term durability to ensure the battery's energy output requirements and safety under different working conditions. Capacity, rate performance and cycle life are tested to verify the reliability of the battery's performance, while deep discharge is used to evaluate the protection mechanism under extreme conditions, effectively reducing the risk of use. The discharge test also provides data support for battery design optimization and product development, and provides a basis for the adaptation of practical application scenarios.

Test content

Standard discharge test

Under the specified current or power, the battery is discharged constantly, and the deviation between its actual capacity and its rated capacity is measured to evaluate the energy output capacity of the battery.
By recording the discharge curve, the voltage variation trend of the battery is analyzed and whether there is abnormal fluctuation is detected.

High rate discharge test

Simulate the operating state of a battery under high power requirements, such as vehicle acceleration or high-power device startup, to evaluate its high-current discharge capability and transient performance. Verify the polarization characteristics and temperature rise of the battery to ensure that it can operate normally under high rate discharge conditions.

Cyclic discharge test

The decay rate and cycle life of the battery were evaluated through multiple charge and discharge cycles, and the trend of capacity retention rate and internal resistance was recorded.
Verify the stability and durability of the battery in long-term use, and judge its ability to adapt to multiple uses.

Deep discharge test

Discharge the battery to close to the cut-off voltage (deep discharge), evaluate its performance at low charge, and detect the risk of overdischarge.
Ensure that the battery is safe for extreme use and verify the BMS's over-discharge protection.
