Digital to Analog converters for DC charging pile microcontrollers: A bridge to the analog world

In the microcontroller of DC charging pile, the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is a key component that converts the digital signal to the analog signal. It not only connects the digital world with the analog world, but also plays a crucial role in the precise control and monitoring of charging piles.

Main component

Concept:

A digital-to-analog converter, or DAC, is an electronic device that converts a digital signal into an analog signal. In DC charging piles, DAC is often used to convert the digital output of the microcontroller into analog signals that can control the charging module, such as regulating the charging current or voltage. DAC is mainly composed of digital register, analog electronic switch, bit weight network, summing operational amplifier and reference voltage source (or constant current source).

Function:

1. Precise control: DAC can precisely control the output voltage and current of the charging module according to the instructions of the microcontroller to achieve constant current and constant voltage charging.

2. Signal conversion: It converts the digital signal of the microcontroller into an analog signal to drive the analog load in the charging pile, such as actuators and sensors.

3. System feedback: The analog signal output by DAC can be used as part of the system feedback to monitor and adjust the charging process.

Working Principle:

1. Digital input: The microcontroller sends the digital signal to the digital register of the DAC.

2. Switch control: each digit in the digital register controls the analog electronic switch corresponding to the digit, so that the digit of 1 generates a current value proportional to its bit weight on the network.

3. Summation operation: The operational amplifier sums the current values and converts them into voltage values, resulting in an analog output proportional to the digital input.

4. Analog output: Finally, the DAC outputs an analog voltage or current signal that is used to control the analog device in the charging pile.

Sum up

In this way, the digital-to-analog converter of the DC charging pile microcontroller ensures the accuracy and reliability of the charging process, while providing the ability to communicate with the analog world. The high precision and fast response characteristics of DAC make it an indispensable part of DC charging pile, providing strong support for efficient and safe charging.

DC CHARGING PIlE SERIES

DC charging pile is an efficient charging facility for electric vehicles, which uses direct current (DC) to directly charge the vehicle battery, significantly reducing the charging time. Compared with traditional AC charging piles, DC charging piles are able to provide higher power output and can usually charge an EV to 80% of its capacity in 30 minutes, providing users with a convenient charging experience.
