Concept:

The Real-time Clock (RTC) module is an independent timer in the DC charging pile meter, which provides accurate real-time time and accurate time reference for the electronic system. The RTC module has a continuous counting counter, which can provide clock calendar function under the corresponding software configuration. Even in the case of power failure, as long as the backup power supply of the chip has been powered, the time on the RTC will keep going, ensuring the continuity of time.

Function:

The main function of the RTC module is to provide a time reference for the DC charging pile meter, so that the meter can accurately record and process the data and events related to the use of electric energy. It ensures that the meter's time remains accurate even in the event of a mains power outage, which is essential for functions such as billing, data logging and system synchronization.

Working Principle:

The working principle of the RTC module is based on a 32-bit counter that increments at a fixed interval (usually 1 second). This counter can be adjusted with a pre-divider to meet the needs of different applications. RTC clock block diagram is relatively simple, divided into APB1 interface and RTC core interface two parts. The APB1 interface is used to connect to the APB1 bus. Through this interface, RTC related registers can be accessed. The RTC core interface consists of a set of programmable counters, including a pre-division module and a 32-bit programmable counter (RTC_CNT). The pre-division module is programmable to generate a 1-second RTC time reference TR_CLK, while the RTC_CNT is calculated in seconds and records the time.
