This "heart" generates a lot of heat in the process of converting alternating current into direct current. In order to maintain the stable operation of the charging module, the radiator has become an essential cooling component.

Concept:

A radiator is a device that promotes heat dissipation by increasing the surface area for heat dissipation. In the charging module of the DC charging pile, the radiator is usually made of aluminum or copper, which has excellent thermal conductivity and can effectively conduct the heat generated by the electronic components to the external environment .

Function:

The main function of the radiator is to absorb and dissipate the heat generated by the charging module during the working process. Due to the high power density of the charging module, its heat dissipation can reach several kilowatts, so the design and efficiency of the radiator directly affect the performance and life of the charging pile . Good heat dissipation can reduce the operating temperature of the module, reduce thermal stress, extend the service life of electronic components, and improve charging efficiency and reliability .

Working Principle:

The working principle of the radiator is based on two ways of heat conduction and convection. First, the heat sink is in contact with the heating element in the charging module, and the heat is transmitted from the element to the surface of the heat sink through a thermal conductivity material (such as thermal grease) with high thermal conductivity. The heat is then dissipated from the surface of the radiator to the surrounding environment by means of natural convection or forced air cooling . In some high-end designs, liquid cooling technology is also used to remove heat from the radiator through coolant circulation for more efficient heat exchange .
