Can I plug my electric car into a common socket?

You can use the standard 120 volt (V) household socket (level 1), 208-240V socket (such as the socket used for clothes dryers) (level 2) or the dedicated 480V+public fast charger (DC fast charging) to charge the electric vehicle. The time required to charge each of these three options depends on the size of your drive and battery. The charging speed also depends on the size of the vehicle on-board charger and the power supply pole of the charging equipment.

Level 1

The Class 1 charger uses a standard 120V plug, and the new electric vehicle is equipped with a portable charging device that allows you to plug into any 120V socket.

Level 2

Generally, Level 2 charging requires the purchase and installation of charging equipment.

DC fast charging

DC fast charging is only applicable to public charging stations. Not applicable to families.
