Battery management system

The Battery Management System (BMS) is the core control system of the lithium-ion battery pack, which is responsible for monitoring the working status of the battery pack to ensure its safe and efficient operation. BMS extends battery life by monitoring, controlling and protecting the battery in real time to prevent damage or safety problems caused by abnormal conditions such as overcharge, overdischarge and overheating. It not only manages the charge and discharge process of the battery, but also improves the overall performance and reliability of the battery pack by equalizing the charge of the cell.

Battery management system

The main task of BMS is to ensure that the battery works within the normal and safe operating range, especially in the field of large-scale energy storage systems, electric vehicles, solar energy storage, etc., its importance is more prominent.

The main functions of BMS

Battery monitoring and data acquisition

The BMS monitors various key parameters of the battery, such as voltage, current, temperature, etc., in real time through integrated sensors. The real-time acquisition of these data is critical to the safety and performance of the battery pack

Cell Balancing

Voltage differences between cell cells are inevitable, and BMS maintains the balance of the battery pack by equalizing the charge of the cell to ensure that the battery pack can fully utilize the power of each cell.

Charge and discharge management

The BMS controls the charging and discharging process of the battery pack to ensure that the battery is charged and discharged within a safe range. It prevents overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent and other abnormal conditions by controlling charging current, discharge current and voltage limit.

Protection function

BMS provides a variety of protection functions to ensure that the battery pack can be protected in time under abnormal conditions to prevent safety accidents. Common protection features include

Battery status estimation (SOH, SOC, SOP)

The BMS uses complex algorithms to estimate the battery's health (SOH), state of charge (SOC), and state of power (SOP), and uses this information to optimize battery use and management

Communication and remote control

The BMS communicates with external devices (such as inverters, power grids, EV charging systems, etc.) to support remote monitoring and data management. Through the communication interface (such as CAN bus, Modbus, etc.), the BMS can transmit the operating data of the battery pack in real time, remotely monitor the status of the battery, and conduct data analysis through the cloud platform

low-speed car batteries

Low-speed vehicle battery is a kind of battery designed for low-speed electric vehicles, which has the characteristics of clean, environmental protection, high efficiency and economy, and is widely used in electric golf carts, low-speed electric vehicles (LSV), mobile vendors, campus transportation, cargo trucks and so on
