What is the material of the shell

The shell material of DC charging pile usually needs to meet the performance requirements of flame retardant, weather resistance, impact resistance (normal temperature/low temperature), acid, alkali and salt spray corrosion.

Including modified PC (polycarbonate) and PC/ABS alloy materials, these materials have good flame retardant properties, weather resistance, heat and low temperature resistance, suitable for outdoor use .

SMC is a composite material composed of resin, glass fiber, fillers, and other additives. It is favored for its high strength, light weight, aging resistance, and weather resistance. SMC enclosures are usually molded, can be designed into complex shapes, and have good insulation properties.

Sheet metal is a generic term for sheet metal commonly used to manufacture structural parts and encloses. In DC charging piles, sheet metal can provide good mechanical strength and impact resistance while being easy to process and shape. The sheet metal enclosure can effectively dissipate heat, which is particularly important for high-power charging piles.
