Cycle life testing can accurately reflect the long-term performance changes of the battery in practical applications, helping manufacturers to evaluate the reliability and durability of the battery. Through the monitoring of battery capacity and internal resistance, the test results provide a basis for the design improvement of battery products to ensure that the battery can maintain stable performance in complex environments such as high rate and temperature change. In addition, the cycle life test provides users with the battery life expectancy and helps them rationally arrange the battery replacement cycle, thereby enhancing the comprehensive value of the product and the user experience.

Charge and discharge cycle

The battery is charged and discharged several times under certain charging and discharging conditions (such as 1C, 2C and other different rates), and the capacity change and voltage change of the battery are measured after each charge and discharge.
Through multiple cycles, observe the capacity retention rate and internal resistance changes of the battery to judge the decline speed and service life of the battery.

Temperature and environmental impact testing

The cycle test is carried out in different temperature environments (such as high temperature and low temperature) to simulate the effect of actual use environment on battery life.
Measure the capacity decay rate of the battery under different environmental conditions to understand the effect of temperature on the battery performance.Analyze the aging characteristics of the battery material to verify the performance reliability of the battery during a specific service life.

Test under different magnification conditions

Cycle life tests are performed at different discharge rates (such as high and low rates) to evaluate the performance and durability of the battery under high power requirements.
High rate discharge usually accelerates the aging of the battery, so it can help test the resistance of the battery under high load conditions.

Capacity and internal resistance change monitoring

Periodically monitor the capacity and internal resistance changes of the battery, evaluate its health status, and identify the decline trend of the battery in time.
